# Getting Started Guide

Get up and running with MeasuredRisk in 5 easy steps. This guide covers everything from account creation to generating your first reports.

## Creating Your Account

- Request access at measuredrisk.com/contact
- Enter your work email and create a secure password
- Verify your email address
- Complete your company profile (name, industry, size)
- Invite team members (optional)

💡 Tip: Use your work email for team features. Personal emails may have limited functionality.

## Adding Vendors

- Navigate to the Vendors section in the dashboard
- Click 'Add Vendor' or 'Bulk Import'
- For single vendors: Enter company name, website, and location
- For bulk import: Upload a CSV with vendor names and domains
- MeasuredRisk will automatically enrich vendor profiles

💡 Tip: Start with your most critical vendors. Quality data leads to better risk assessments.

## Understanding Risk Scores

- Each vendor receives a composite risk score (0-100)
- Lower scores = lower risk, higher scores = higher risk
- Scores are broken down into 4 dimensions:

#### Cyber Risk

Security posture, vulnerability history, breach records

#### Financial Risk

Revenue trends, bankruptcy probability, credit ratings

#### Geopolitical Risk

Location stability, sanctions exposure, political events

#### Compliance Risk

Certifications, regulatory status, FOCI indicators

💡 Tip: Click on any dimension to see the underlying data points and sources.

## Setting Up Monitoring

- Go to Settings → Alerts
- Configure alert thresholds (e.g., notify when score increases by 10+)
- Select notification channels (email, Slack, webhook)
- Set frequency (real-time, daily digest, weekly summary)
- Enable geopolitical alerts for critical regions

💡 Tip: Start with higher thresholds to avoid alert fatigue. Adjust as you learn your baseline.

## Exporting Reports

- Navigate to the vendor or portfolio you want to export
- Click 'Export' or 'Generate Report'
- Select report type:

#### Vendor Risk Report

Detailed single-vendor assessment

#### Portfolio Summary

Overview of all vendors with scores

#### Compliance Report

Audit-ready documentation

#### Executive Summary

High-level risk dashboard for leadership
